It is possible to drive up to about half an hour's walk from the top, and then follow the forest tracks all the way to the top. There is not much view on the way, but there is a fine view from the fire tower at the top. When I was there it was very windy and the tower groaned and swayed a little worryingly, so I didn't hang about for long. Also my dog went hysterical when I tied him up at the bottom of the tower and went up without him.
Not a summit I would recommend travelling a long way to see, but pleasant enough if you are passing through the area, or combined with another hike. It took 30 minutes up, 20 minutes down.
