| | Weekend in Jotunheimen

We left Valdres vandrehjem and headed across the headland to Steindalen. I followed some cairns towards and over the top of the valley, but I discovered on the way back that it would have been much more sensible to cross the lower side of the valley. After crossing, I headed up to the ridge, following the cairns, and then up to the top. I saw some others heading up the side of the glacier, which is a more direct route, but suitable for more adventurous souls than myself. From the top there were great views, but there was a very cold wind blowing and we didn't hang around.
