After the Odenwald, I met my cousin and we headed down the Moselle valley and across the Luxembourg-border to Echternach, which turned out to be a really nice place. It has walking paths from the village through the Petite Suisse (Little Switzerland) area of Luxembourg. Which includes some nice gorges, but nothing that we thought was particularily reminiscent of Switzerland. Ecternach is a very attractive and historical large village, and well worth visiting when in the area.
After a couple of days, we drove north towards the Belgian border and just before we came to Huldange, we saw the tower on the left of the road. The tower is small and well-kept - a little like Luxembourg in general. Some nice if not spectacular views from the top. More interesting were the horses in the field next door. No-one there but us and a man cutting the grass. Tilbake til Luxembourg
